Rachel Ruzumna is a 24-year-old singer-songwriter originally from northern Chicago, now based in Los Angeles. She began her musical journey at the age of five, learning to play guitar and piano while developing her singing voice. At 14, Rachel discovered her passion for songwriting, which led her to perform her first original piece at an open mic during her sophomore year of high school. That moment opened her eyes to the power of music as a means of self-expression and connection with others, solidifying her decision to pursue music as her lifelong passion.
In 2022, Rachel made the significant leap to move to Los Angeles, driven by her dreams despite her family's preference for traditional career paths. As she navigated this new chapter, she faced her own struggles, but turned to her art for solace and clarity. Rachel's music has been a source of hope and passion for her, allowing her to channel difficult experiences into her music.
Recently, Rachel signed with BAM Artists, becoming their first signed artist as of October 1st. This partnership aligns perfectly with her values, as BAM emphasizes mental health, inclusivity, and community within the music industry. Their mission resonates deeply with her, bringing back the heart of musicianship: uniting people, expressing oneself, and sharing stories. Rachel is excited to continue this journey, using her music to foster connection and inspire others along the way.
